Page Selection Syntax Rules
When users only need to export specified pages, they can enter the corresponding page number rule in the input box, and the tool will only convert the pages included in the input range. There are two common basic formats: continuous range format and mixed selection format.
The continuous range format uses a hyphen to connect the start and end page numbers. The format example is "1-5", which means converting all pages from page 1 to page 5. The mixed format uses commas to separate individual page numbers and ranges. The format example is "1,3,5-7", which means converting page 1, page 3, and pages 5 to 7.
File Naming Rules for Multi-Page Output
When the conversion result contains multiple image pages, the OKfmt PDF to Image converter will package all images into a ZIP compressed file for output. Users can unzip the file after downloading to get all target images.
For individual images in the ZIP package, the naming rule retains the corresponding page number of the original PDF. The format is "originalfilename_pagenumber.extension", so users can sort and organize directly by page number without manual renaming.
Applicable Scenarios for Three DPI Settings
The OKfmt PDF to Image converter provides three fixed DPI options. Users can select the corresponding setting according to the output purpose. Higher DPI values result in higher output image resolution and larger file sizes.
96 DPI corresponds to the conventional resolution for screen display. The generated image has a small size and fast loading speed, which is suitable for fast online content preview. 144 DPI resolution meets the illustration requirements of most electronic documents, and no obvious blurring will occur. 300 DPI meets the conventional clarity requirements of the printing industry, and is suitable for scenarios that require print submission.
| DPI Setting | Applicable Scenarios |
|---|---|
| 96 DPI | Online screen preview, smallest file size |
| 144 DPI | Illustrations for papers, official accounts and other documents, clarity meets display requirements |
| 300 DPI | Printing and submission for publications, meets publication-grade clarity requirements |
Clarity Differences for Different Types of PDF
The content of text-based PDF consists of vector text and vector graphics. The clarity of the converted image is determined by the selected DPI setting, and adjusting DPI can obtain an image with the corresponding clarity.
Scanned PDF essentially stores the content of each page as a single full-page image. The clarity of the converted image is determined by the original resolution of the scanned PDF. The tool only outputs the corresponding image based on the original resolution and selected pages, and cannot improve the original clarity.
Processing Limits for Selected Pages
The current version of the OKfmt PDF to Image converter supports conversion requests with no more than 20 selected pages per processing. When the selected range includes more than 20 pages, the tool will only process the first 20 pages, and no output will be generated for the excess part.
If users need to convert a selected range of more than 20 pages, they can split the selection and submit multiple conversion requests. After splitting, as long as the number of pages per selection does not exceed 20, processing can be completed. The splitting still follows the original selection syntax rules.
คำถามที่พบบ่อย
Can I output a single long image instead of multiple separate images?
The OKfmt PDF to Image converter currently only supports outputting each page as a separate image, and does not support stitching into a long image. Users can use a third-party image stitching tool to complete the stitching process.
Can the order of selected page numbers be out of sequence?
The tool generates images in the order entered by the user, and retains the input page order. The file names in the ZIP package also correspond to the original page numbers in the input order.
Is there a charge for exceeding the processing limit?
The current free usage rules of this tool are subject to the latest announcement on the official website. If a single selection exceeds 20 pages, you can split it into multiple submissions for conversion, no extra payment is required.
