About WOFF2 to TTF conversion

WOFF2 is a Brotli-compressed web font container launched by W3C in 2018. TTF is a general desktop TrueType format launched by Apple and Microsoft in 1991. Conversion is required because some older desktop design software does not support reading WOFF2 format directly.

This conversion is completed based on Google's official woff2 reference implementation. It retains the original TrueType outlines and original hinting instructions, decompresses Brotli compression, outputs a standard TTF container, and fully retains the original font license terms in the output file.

The converted TTF is compatible with all desktop systems of Windows 7 and above, macOS 10.6 and above, and can be used for local font installation in Adobe Photoshop CS6 and above, and Illustrator CS6 and above.

FAQ about WOFF2 → TTF

Does font quality change after conversion

No quality loss occurs. Conversion only decompresses the Brotli compression of WOFF2, fully restores the original TTF outlines and hinting information, and does not modify the content of the font itself.

Will the original license be retained after conversion

The license information embedded in the original font is fully retained in the output file. This tool does not modify, delete or add any font-related license terms.

What is the maximum single file size limit

The single file size limit of this service is 50MB, only one file can be converted at a time. Any WOFF2 that meets the single file limit can be submitted for processing.

Do you store my files

We do not store any files. Files are uploaded to the server via HTTPS for conversion. After conversion is completed, the server immediately deletes the source file and output file, and does not retain any content.
