Convert to WAV
WAV stores sample data as uncompressed PCM and is the standard interchange format for audio editing and post-production. This group decodes lossy formats into PCM 16-bit WAV and extracts video soundtracks โ 5 conversion directions in total.
Converting a lossy source to WAV does not restore lost detail, but avoids a second lossy pass during further editing. Output is roughly ten times the size of an MP3 of the same duration, suited for DAW import, cutting and mixing. Sample rate, channel and segment trimming are supported.
