About YAML to JSON conversion
YAML 1.2 is a data serialization format based on indentation hierarchy, and is the standard format for Kubernetes and Docker Compose configurations. JSON is a text data interchange format that conforms to the RFC 8259 specification, with only six basic data types. YAML is easier for humans to read in most scenarios, while JSON is compatible with more program interfaces.
The conversion process preserves original numeric values, booleans, nested structures and key names. Content that YAML includes which is incompatible with JSON is excluded from the output. Comments native to YAML are not supported by JSON, so they are lost after conversion. Anchor references in YAML are expanded into the corresponding JSON structures. The output size changes according to content characteristics.
This conversion is suitable for converting Kubernetes or CI configurations into JSON format compatible with general program interfaces. The output conforms to the RFC 8259 specification, and can be directly parsed and processed by all programming languages and tools that support JSON format.

FAQ about YAML → JSON
Does data quality change after conversion
There is no quality change for original mappable structures. Data content in YAML that conforms to the JSON specification is fully preserved, only YAML-specific content not supported by JSON is filtered out.
Will comments be preserved in the output
Comments are not preserved after conversion. The RFC 8259 specification for JSON itself does not support comment content, so comments in YAML are removed during the conversion process.
What is the maximum supported file size for conversion
The upper limit for a single file conversion on this site is 50MB, and only one file can be processed per conversion. Files exceeding the size limit will be rejected by the system.
Will converted files be stored
Files are uploaded to the server via HTTPS for conversion. The server immediately deletes both the source file and the output file after conversion completes, no storage is performed.
