About ISO to ZIP conversion
ISO 9660 is an optical disc image standard established in 1988. It copies the entire CD/DVD byte by byte per sector, and preserves the complete directory structure and file tree of the disc. ZIP is a general-purpose archive format released in 1989 that supports DEFLATE compression on a per-file basis. This conversion allows extracting ordinary files directly from disc images for archiving.
This conversion is processed based on the 7-Zip engine. It extracts all files from the ISO, compresses them into a ZIP using the DEFLATE algorithm, and preserves the complete directory structure and file hierarchy from the original ISO. The generated ZIP can be natively decompressed by double-click on Windows and macOS, with compatibility across most common devices.
It is suitable for extracting single or multiple files from system installation discs and software distribution disc images, for network file distribution, or for saving storage space on local hard disks. Note that the disc boot information from the original ISO will not be retained in the output ZIP.

FAQ about ISO → ZIP
Will files be corrupted after conversion?
Normal conversion will not damage the content of the original files. The conversion extracts and packages files based on the 7-Zip engine, only modifying the archive encapsulation format, while the original file content remains complete and unchanged.
Will the original directory structure be preserved?
Yes, the complete directory structure from the original ISO image will be preserved. 7-Zip fully restores the original file tree hierarchy during extraction, and packages it into the output ZIP without losing the original hierarchical relationship.
What size of ISO file is supported?
The maximum single file size for conversion on this site is 50MB. ISO files larger than this size cannot be uploaded for processing. In addition, the total uncompressed size cannot exceed 256MB, and the number of files cannot exceed 1000.
Will uploaded files be stored?
Files are uploaded to the server via HTTPS for conversion. After conversion is completed, the server immediately deletes both the source file and the output file, and does not store any files.
