About PNG to BMP conversion
PNG was released in 1996, uses DEFLATE lossless compression, supports transparency channels and 48-bit color depth, and has a relatively large file size. BMP was released by Microsoft in 1990, uses uncompressed storage, and is only used in legacy Windows workflows, so there is a format adaptation requirement for converting PNG to BMP.
The conversion generates uncompressed BI_RGB format BMP, with a file size 3 to 5 times that of the original PNG. It fully retains the color information and Alpha transparency channel of the PNG, does not modify EXIF metadata, and causes no image quality loss during conversion.
This conversion is suitable for scenarios that require adaptation to legacy bitmap workflows on Windows 9x/XP. Converted files can be directly recognized and opened by Windows Paint and old image tools on Windows platforms.

FAQ about PNG → BMP
Will image quality be lost after conversion
No image quality loss occurs during conversion. PNG is a lossless compression format, and the conversion outputs uncompressed BMP, which fully retains all color and detail information of the original image.
Is the transparency channel of the original PNG preserved
The 8-bit transparency channel of the original PNG is fully preserved. The output is 32-bit BMP format, which supports normal transparency display and conforms to BMP format specifications.
What is the single file size limit
The conversion service on this site sets a 50MB limit for a single file, and only supports converting one file per conversion. The service is free of charge, outputs no watermarks, and does not require account registration.
Will my files be leaked during conversion
Files will not be leaked. Files are uploaded to the server via HTTPS for conversion, and both source and output files are immediately deleted by the server after conversion, with no storage performed.
