About TIFF to JPG conversion
TIFF was released by Aldus in 1986. It supports LZW/ZIP lossless compression and multi-page storage, and is the industry standard for printing and scanning. It cannot be displayed directly in browsers. JPG was released by the JPEG organization in 1992. It is based on DCT lossy compression, is universally compatible across all devices, and the conversion meets the needs of daily viewing scenarios.
The converted file is smaller than the original TIFF file. Single-page TIFF retains the original EXIF metadata after conversion. The transparency channel of the original TIFF is lost during conversion. For multi-page TIFF, only the first page is converted. Adjusting the quality parameter changes the compression ratio and the degree of compression artifacts in the output file.
This conversion is suitable for converting scanned print manuscripts into files that can be viewed directly on web pages, and adapts to mobile album display and social platform upload workflows. If you need to continue editing the original image, you need to keep the original TIFF file stored.

FAQ about TIFF → JPG
Will image quality change after conversion?
The conversion outputs a lossy JPG format, so there will be some image quality loss. You can adjust the output quality parameter to control the compression level, which can meet the image quality requirements for daily viewing.
Will the transparency channel be preserved?
The JPG format itself does not support transparency channels. The transparency channel in the original TIFF will be lost after conversion, and the output background will default to white.
Is there a file size limit?
The single file size limit on this site is 50MB, and only one file can be converted at a time. Files exceeding the size limit cannot be converted.
Will my uploaded files be stored?
Files are uploaded to the server via HTTPS for conversion. After the conversion is completed, the server immediately deletes both the source file and the output file, and does not store any files.
