About FLAC to WAV conversion
FLAC is a free lossless encoding with a compression ratio of 40-60% that can restore the original PCM bit-by-bit, and is mostly used for music archiving. WAV is uncompressed linear PCM encapsulated in a RIFF container, and is mostly used for audio editing. Some older editing software do not support direct FLAC reading, so conversion is required.
The conversion outputs WAV encapsulated with original PCM, with a file size approximately 1.8 to 2.5 times that of the original FLAC. The original sample rate and channel count are preserved. WAV has no bitrate settings, and the metadata and cover art included in the original FLAC are retained in the output file. There is no audio quality loss during conversion.
This conversion is suitable for material preprocessing in professional audio editing software such as Audacity and Adobe Audition. It is also used for older car stereos and portable players that do not support FLAC playback. Confirm that your device has sufficient storage space for the uncompressed audio size before conversion.

FAQ about FLAC → WAV
Is there any audio quality loss after conversion?
There is no audio quality loss after conversion. FLAC can restore the original PCM data bit-by-bit, and the converted WAV encapsulation preserves complete original audio information.
Do you retain original file metadata?
The Vorbis Comment metadata and cover art from the original FLAC are retained and written to the output WAV file, along with the original sample rate and channel count.
What is the single file size limit?
The single file conversion limit on this site is 50MB, and only one file can be converted at a time. Files exceeding the limit cannot be submitted for processing.
Do you store my files?
We do not store any files. Files are uploaded to the server via HTTPS for conversion. After conversion is completed, the server immediately deletes both the source file and the output file, and no storage is performed.
