About VTT to TXT conversion
VTT is a W3C standard native HTML5 web subtitle format released in 2010. It uses structured syntax with millisecond-level timecodes, and supports style and position settings. TXT is a general plain text format with no extra markup that only retains pure text content. This conversion is used to extract pure dialogue text from VTT.
After conversion, all original VTT timecode, basic style tag, and position setting information is removed, and only the original dialogue text content is retained. The converted output file is smaller than the original VTT file, and no extra format redundancy is introduced.
This conversion fits workflows that require extracting subtitle dialogue for dialogue organization, copy editing, text search and archiving. The converted TXT file is compatible with all text editors and all operating systems, and can be opened and edited without dedicated subtitle software.

FAQ about VTT → TXT
How does conversion affect quality?
The conversion only retains the pure dialogue text from the original VTT, and removes all timecode, style and other information. The output is unformatted plain text, and the original dialogue text content is not changed. Text extraction is completed by a custom-built parser.
Is original timecode information preserved?
Original VTT timecode information is not preserved. The TXT format itself does not support storing time markers. After conversion completes, all time information is removed, and only dialogue text is retained.
What is the single file size limit?
The maximum single file size supported by this tool is 50MB. Only one file can be converted at a time. The service is free of charge, outputs watermark-free files, and can be used without account registration.
Are my files stored on the server?
Your files are not stored. Files are uploaded to the server via HTTPS for conversion. Immediately after conversion completes, the server deletes both the source file and the output file, and does not retain any files.
