About FLV to GIF conversion
FLV is a Flash streaming container introduced by Macromedia in 2002, mostly encapsulating H.264 video and AAC audio. GIF is an image format released by CompuServe in 1987, supports multi-frame animation, and only supports a 256-color palette. This conversion meets the need for animated GIF creation from legacy FLV videos.
The output GIF has a maximum width of 640px and a maximum frame rate of 20fps. Only the video frames are retained, the audio track in the original FLV file is discarded. The output uses LZW compression, generates a 256-color palette with an adaptive algorithm, and the output file size is smaller than the source FLV.
Suitable for extracting animated GIFs from legacy FLV courseware and recorded videos from early websites, for use as illustrations in forum posts and social media posts. Note the output size limit, and the duration of the original FLV video must not exceed 10 minutes.

FAQ about FLV → GIF
Will image quality change after conversion
Image quality will change after conversion. GIF only supports 256 colors, so color loss occurs for original videos with rich colors. The output GIF has a maximum width of 640px and maximum frame rate of 20fps.
Will the original video audio be retained
Audio from the original FLV is not retained after conversion. GIF is an image format that does not natively support audio tracks, the output only contains animated video frames from the original FLV.
Is there a size limit for single files
The maximum size for a single file processed on this site is 50MB, and the duration of the source FLV video must not exceed 10 minutes. Files exceeding the limit will be rejected.
Do you store my files
We do not store any files. Files are uploaded to the server via HTTPS for conversion. Immediately after conversion is complete, the server deletes both the source file and the output file, no storage is performed.
