About MOV to GIF conversion
MOV is an Apple QuickTime container released in 1998, the technical predecessor of MP4, and the standard format for iPhone recording and Final Cut workflows. GIF was released by CompuServe in 1987, only supports 256 colors and 1-bit transparency, and is mostly used for web animated image display. MOV to GIF conversion meets the requirements for publishing animated images on web pages.
After converting MOV to GIF, the output GIF has a fixed maximum width of 640px and a maximum frame rate of 20fps. It retains animation frame information from the MOV, removes audio track content from the original file, automatically generates a color palette adapted to the 256-color limit, and defaults to infinite loop playback.
This conversion is suitable for scenarios such as publishing web animated images and sharing short animated images on social media. Output files can be imported into Photoshop,剪映 and other software for secondary editing. This site does not process conversion for original MOV files longer than 10 minutes.

FAQ about MOV → GIF
Will image quality change after conversion
There will be quality loss after conversion. GIF natively supports a maximum of 256 colors, and the output frame rate is capped at 20fps, both lower than the color and frame rate specifications of the original MOV video.
Will the original audio track be preserved
The original audio track from the MOV is not preserved after conversion. The GIF format does not natively support storing audio content, so the output file only contains frame animation information.
What is the single file size limit
On this site, the maximum single file size for conversion is 50MB, only one file can be converted at a time, and the maximum duration of the original MOV video is 10 minutes. Files exceeding the limit cannot be processed.
Will my files be stored
Conversion is completed on the server side, files are uploaded via HTTPS. Immediately after conversion completes, the server deletes both the source file and output file, and does not store any data.
