About SRT to SBV conversion
SRT is a plain-text subtitle format developed by SubRip, which uses hh:mm:ss,mmm format timecodes. SBV is a subtitle upload format natively supported by YouTube Studio, which uses H:MM:SS.mmm format timecodes. Creators need to convert the format to meet YouTube's upload requirements.
This conversion is completed based on a self-developed subtitle parser. The size difference between the output file and the input file is negligible. The original subtitle text content is retained after conversion. Since neither format supports style positioning, there is no corresponding information to retain.
The converted SBV file can be directly uploaded to YouTube Studio to publish subtitles, and can also be imported into third-party editing software that supports SBV format. The conversion is free, and no registration is required to use the tool.

FAQ about SRT → SBV
Will subtitle quality change after conversion?
The original text content is fully retained. Both formats are plain-text storage without styling. Conversion only adjusts the timecode format, does not change subtitle readability, and no watermark is added to the output.
Will timecode precision be preserved?
Time precision is fully retained after conversion. The original timecode of SRT has millisecond-level precision, and SBV also supports millisecond-level time precision. Conversion only adjusts the timecode separators and format.
What is the single file size limit?
This tool only supports converting one file at a time, with a maximum single file size of 50MB. Files exceeding the size limit cannot be uploaded and converted.
Will my files be stored?
Conversion is completed server-side. Files are uploaded to the server via HTTPS, and the server immediately deletes both the source file and output file after conversion completes, no storage is performed.
